UPDATE: After five episodes: I have lowered my rating for Big Sky. The story has lost some steam and the villains have revealed themselves to be more than a little cliche. GRADE: C- INITIAL REVIEW: Katheryn Winnick headlines a solid cast. Production value seems good. However, the story seems a little contrived at times for my taste - but this is a distraction I can overlook because there is plenty of suspense to keep the plot moving at a good clip. Overall I found Big Sky an entertaining crime drama after one episode. Granted, this show is not as "realistic/ gritty" as some dramas like "The Killing" or "Dexter", but I definitely plan on watching the next episode to see where this goes. Grade: B
