Good writing, good casting, and good pacing; this show has all the main components necessary for good entertainment. It takes a look at parenting from a different angle, and offers an amusing experience with its particular kind of humor. Although appearing as a comedy and filled with humor, it addresses many serious issues related to parenting and relationships within a family. It does a good job at defining each character through their relationships, and at the same time leaves enough time to explore their individual traits. After watching each episode, and having a good time doing so, I would often find myself thinking about the characters and their situations. Season one did good job at showing parenting as this ordeal that the two main characters are trying to overcome, or at least cope with as best as they can. But season two is where things really gets out of their hand, by the end of this season you will really feel for the father, Paul. I'm curious how the third season will turn out!
