Canary Black 2024 1080p WEB-DL DD5.1 x265
Let's start by saying my expectations weren't particularly high, but even then, this movie managed to fall short. The cast wasn't impressive, and the end result left much to be desired. It felt more like a generic action movie geared towards women, but with little substance to back it up. The acting had the quality of a low-budget B-movie, which made it hard to take seriously, and the storyline was weak, predictable, and riddled with clichés. Even the action sequences, which could have salvaged the experience, lacked impact and intensity. At no point did the story manage to grab my attention or immerse me in the world it was trying to create. It all felt disjointed and half-hearted, as if the filmmakers themselves didn't believe in the material. I went in hoping for at least some mindless entertainment but ended up feeling completely disengaged. This is the first movie I've ever walked out of during the intermission, and I don't regret leaving early. Highly disappointed.
