This show is another politically motivated woke Arthouse drama with a handful of A-listers for the street creds. It does not inspired genuinely gothic horror film meant to entertain. To borrow a cliché all to common and deserving with today's politically motivated American dramas, the story has little in the direction of a solid story with substance. What they are doing is preaching woke-ology while trying to sell the series with cinematography and atmosphere. Then they pour heavily the obligatory studio mandated woke lines into the screenplay. A good story doesn't rely on cheap tricks. A good story makes the viewer think instead of tossing out quick one liners like 300 00:32:00,810 --> 00:32:03,248 "I learned those at college." 301 00:32:03,378 --> 00:32:06,076 "I didn't know women could go to college." 302 00:32:06,208 --> 00:32:07,773 "They can." Oh my stomach churns at hearing that crap. Have a bottle of Pepto near by. An appropriate analogy I think would be a student who failed to do the research for a term paper when they had three months time to put in the effort. Then the student tries to pull one over on the teacher with fancy illustrations, immaculate formatting and perfect spelling. Perhaps in today's world, everyone gets a participation prize for simply showing up without genuine effort. This show might make people looking for eye candy and the social-wokearati warriors happy but it will bore the rest of us . Already the young blue-hair porky RGB lit vibrator using feminazi are writing counter reviews calling anyone who doesn't like their politics as Incels without addressing the flaws of the show. It's such an unimaginative cheap crutch they rely on to dismiss and discredit opposing views. Well I say, let them enjoy this rubbish. Little stories for little minds. I don't know about everyone else, but there are better options to use my entertainment hours than this drivel. Even Netflix makes a better gothic horror than this and Netflix has its own issues with the woke plague. Seriously people, it is very very very rare that a television show improves with time. On the contrary it is more common that a decent show spirals into the ground. I speak from experience hoping the last two seasons of Game of Thrones would improve. But we all know how well that turned out!
