S1 completely passed me by but I'd seen this pop up as S2 premiere approaches next week and thought I'd give it a go before it airs. And I've really enjoyed it! Molly leads a solid cast in a series that doesn't take itself too seriously. The 10 part season is definitely giving some 'finding its feet' energy at times, but it's actually quite endearing in doing so. With the exception of one episode, it was a truly enjoyable watch. Doc explores all aspects of complicated family life, the fallout of bereavement, finding work/life balance, complex romantic relationships and, above all, the importance of patience and forgiveness. It doesn't intend to be overly twee, though does teeter close to it at times. It never lands on cheesy though, thankfully. Medically, I dont expect pin point accuracy but what they have covered has been done well. I do however expect to be entertained. And I was. 8+
