When I stumbled upon the 2025 action thriller "Exit Protocol" by random chance here in 2026, and seeing that the movie had both Dolph Lundgren and Michael Jai White on the cover, of course I had to check it out. I had actually never even heard about it prior to stumbling upon it. Odd why the movie's main actor, Scott Martin, isn't even depicted on the movie's cover. But of course, action fans will recognize both Dolph Lundgren and Michael Jai White, but not Scott Martin. Writer Chad Law put together a straightforward script and storyline, but truth be told, it was rather generic and bland. This was by no means an outstanding foray into the action thriller genre. The only familiar faces on the cast list, for me at least, were Dolph Lundgren and Michael Jai White. The acting performances in the movie were fair. But this movie was by no means a milestone for neither Dolph Lundgren or Michael Jai White. With this being an action thriller, there is some action sequences with shooting weapons. It was rather unconvincingly done, as the poorly rendered CGI debris bursts and such where the bullets struck was just laughable. Should you like action thrillers, then there are far better movies readily available out there. But the movie is suitable enough for a single viewing. My rating of director Shane Dax Taylor's 2025 action thriller "Exit Protocol" lands on a generous four out of ten stars.
