Written, acted and directed brilliantly. Nothing about it feels dated, in fact it's frightening in its relevance to today. It's gorgeously shot and costumed. Bomer and Bailey's chemistry radiates off the screen. Bomer is a revelation as he commands your attention with unflinching sexuality and fearsome resolve. He's matched by Bailey's exquisite vulnerability and heart on his sleeve bravura. There are no weak links in the rest of the ensemble. Allison Williams shines in what could have been the formulaic other woman and Jelani Alladin adds rich layers to Marcus. I can't wait for the next episode, which looks to cut deep.
