The Boys is one of my favorite shows of all time. Obviously Gen V isn't as good, but it's still awesome. They do a great job of getting us attached to the new characters in this new environment. And as one would expect from a show in this world, it never holds back. There are several jaw-dropping moments and ridiculously memorable laughs. I can only think of a couple flaws. In The Boys, the gender identity and sexual orientation stuff was part of the satire. Like how corporations use it to improve their public perception. In Gen V, it felt more like they were trying to convince me of something. And while the finale was fun and pretty awesome, some of the character motivations felt a bit random or unearned. Even with those flaws, I had a great time with this show and I'll definitely be watching season 2. (2 viewings, 11/2/2023)
