Ramsey is a 16 star Micheline chef known from England to America as the unapologetic perfectionist in the kitchen. But this show takes him to places around the world where none of that matters. He travels to countries where their cooking technics are as preserved as their way of life. With hand made bonfire as his oven, cooking with the most purest ingredients, he is taken completely out of his element to serve a dish worthy of the host's culture. Then in the end, Gordon faces off against the local chef. This show is more a homage to the traditional cooking culture rather than an actual cooking show. He explores the culture and the traditions that come with the food. Something very different from his previous shows where Chef Ramsey is the universe everyone else aligns too. There is a different side to Ramsey that is more humbled. But there are censored "beeeeeep" ringing throughout the show, just to let viewers know it is the same Gordon Ramsey.
