Half an hour into the first episode and the accents that supposed to be Dublin are atrocious. Not sure whose is worse to be honest but whoever was the dialect coach on this might need to look for a new job. Considering its from the same people behind Peaky Blinders I had a lot of hope for this. If Cillian can manage early 20th century Brummy accent you think a Dublin one field be easy. Then again he does have an Oscar! Struggling to get into it so far but will try brave it out and hope it gets better. Intrigued by the premise of it. Never once considered the implications of the UK rule in terms of the history of Guinness.
