First, a spoiler-free disclaimer: if you are not able and willing to be still, breathe, and reflect on art for an extended period of time, I gauge you are more likely to have a hard time engaging this project. Inside features Willem Dafoe as Nemo. Willem's work is delightful. The cinematography and set design is impressionism. Actually, I don't think it's misleading to describe Willem's work as impressionistic as well. Willem and the editor Lambas Haralambidis are calibrated well. This film is open to interpretation. You deserve to exercise your ability to interpret. It's ok to experience uncertainty. I have a feeling this movie will challenge most viewers. It is chock full of visual art, and not just sculptures and canvases! There were at least four shots where I thought "I want a framed screen grab of this." I don't want to give too much away. Just...I recommend you permit yourself to invest the 1hr 45min run-time into reflection-on/appreciation-for humanity and your own life, with minimal judgment or criticism.
