OK so it's supposed to be happening in real time as the description says, which means most of it is tediously slow. I'm not sure it works in terms of making you care about the various characters/groups, I think the slow pace works against it here. Stick with it if you like this kind of sci-fi, e.g. If you liked the War of the Worlds series with Gabriel Byrne, as it's a good idea and it does get better - best to watch on the Apple TV app with playback speed x1.5 for the first few episodes! P. S. As with many similar series way more than half of it seems to take place in the dark, for 'atmosphere' I assume. If you have a nice new HDR TV then you'll probably be able to see what's going on, but otherwsie you'll be left straining your eyes.
