The deadpan delivery and camera work is reminiscent of original predecessors based on short comedy clips. The corniness factor as a levity tool will be lost on those outside gen x yet still finds originality. Bruno's plot is completely egocentric to the ideal of dog and dog owner and not exactly in that order. Malcolm, our protagonist, gets into his own shenanigans as a result of catering to Bruno's needs. The simplicity of the story while maintaining comedy is kind of amazing. I did not expect to laugh as much as I did at this show. I suggest any proper canine owner to enjoy it.
