Somehow it's compelling - delivering a stream of unmitigated mindless violence with characters like "EZ" feigning caring and guilt for the violence they exhibit daily, murdering those who are either innocent or closest to them. Only a country allowing any adult maniac to own as many deadly weapons as their twisted minds can acquire could spawn this series. Is this the true America? For all that it is very watchable with an extremely complex story line, including plots, double crosses, drug cartels and even nuns who seem to be complicit with the general spirit of lawlessness - but unlike Sons of Anarchy no illegal gun running (yet). Surprisingly there appears to be virtually nil police intervention, other than from a particularly brilliantly played evil Federal Agent (Lincoln Potter). Worth watching, a worthy successor to Sons of Anarchy, hopefully though not a true representation of the Californian lifestyle.
