I'm usually a fan of Norwegian film but this one makes an exception. The dubbing isn't professional. The acting and the characters lack depth, the story and direction both lack congruity, begging the question if its an amateur director at work here. When narrating a story through different people, a decent amount of caution must be taken to ensure the plot retains its coherence. Unfortunately it fails here. This is further amplified through the very myopic screenplay that it ends telling the stories of the bombs that fell, the people that spoke, the vast fields of snow and the occasional glimpses of a few ships at sea, and none of the war that raged.
