This is a review of the first three episodes, my opinion is subject to change. If you're looking for this series to top or even be as good as the original (which seems to be the biggest complained of all one star reviews), then you're in the wrong place. Nothing will top the original aside from a completely different show. However, I still enjoyed Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. It's very different from the 2010 OG title, from the casting to the aesthetics to the story itself. The only thing they share together is the concept of the antagonist, but other than that, nothing else. The show clearly wants to make a separation from it's predecessor, and become it's own take and mix it's own flavor. Which makes it all the more interesting, seeing how they made it into a little bit dark comedy. As for acting and characters, I personally don't find a problem. It's not Big Little Lies level of performance, but who said theyre trying for an Emmy? It's watchable. I also really like the characters, they arent good shoes Cinderella's. They actually do bad stuff, giving it more of a human taste. My only problem was it felt like it was going slow. It's only ten episodes, and we have three yet only know a few secrets. Guess we wont be getting that A reveal this season?
