I watched the first episode, feeling an origin to a superhero, but instead a vampire. Jacob Batalon as Reginald, brings the comic chemistry that he brought to the Spider Man movies, although he does not overdue it. You really like and try to root for him all the way. Mandala Van Peebles is good as Maurice, the vampire who takes Reginald under his wing. He seems to be channeling Giancarlo Esposito. Has amusing effects. Not sure how long it will last, I mean so far I just watch the first episode. Maybe it will keep just better has it goes on, hopefully. We can never tell. I just my fingers crossed.
