It's difficult determining in one episode whether a show will any good. If people fled because on unlikable characters, no none would have watched a 2nd episode of Schitts Creek. This show has potential because of the talents of Steve Carell. It is obvious he will teach at the school which will open up a lot of story possibilities. The central relationship with his daughter also appears to have many possibilities/storylines. Definitely worth another episode or 2 to see where this leads with a bunch of quirky characters.
