I really enjoyed this movie, I'll be honest most of the time in this day and age, I just avoid anything related to the topic of slavery (I am african american) I learned about it in school, our parents went through racism and it's just always there in our face- but this story although heartbreaking to watch, is full of hope, all the actors did such a wonderful job and the fact that it's based on a true story and they consulted the real family when doing it was so awesome.
