I have watched the first four episodes of Sheriff Country, and really wanted to like the show. I like the photography; some characters are interesting and attractive, it seemed there were too many soap bubbles in the plots. As a police procedural, the show gets both the police and procedure wrong. I rated it a 6, but think that it is working hard to get to 5. Baccarinn is attractive, but her acting is almost as wooden as her walk. The actions taken by characters would get most of them fired, and probably jailed. The small-town premise, attractive cast, and some occasional good acting show potential that regularly is overwhelmed by unrealistic, cliché story lines.
