This isn't a COP SHOW! I don't think it's selling itself that way either. It's a soap opera in sheriff's station. That's ok. There is nothing about this show that will garner an award. This show is a spin-off of Fire Country, obviously. And THAT show isn't particularly great either. Watched the 1st season, then gave up because it talked too much while fighting fires. Literally stood around talking while fighting fires. About "feelings" bleck! At least with this "cop show" they're SUPPOSED to be talking! They GET to talk about things, it's how cops and perps and victims and witnesses and....get the job done. So, talking is fine. The scripts are really really basic though. Seriously, it's like they gave a plot to chat AI and it spit out the script...very...scripted. Nothing special, nothing spectacular, nothing to win an award with. But the acting is good. The scenery is good. The story-lines are pretty basic but acceptable for cop stuff. So, it's good too. This ISN'T A COP SHOW! Not by a long shot. Not sure it's selling itself that way either. It's a SOAP OPERA set in a sheriff's station. Period. For that? It's great. It's good for lazy saturdays, while folding laundry, not digging in too deep or setting the world on fire entertainment. So, it earns a 6 for just existing. I'll watch as long as it's not too stupid.
