Was looking forward to this show, with the cute play on words with the title and actor's name: Volpe = Fox. I Thought it would be a lighthearted murder mystery in Italy a la "Death in Paradise" or "Harry Wild." But no....except for the beautiful location shots.... Fox plays the exact role she played in Silent Witness....serious, focused, suspicious, beautiful but with nary a smile in sight. If you want light hearted summer fare, this is not it. But if you enjoyed Silent Witness you will like Signore Volpe. Same Emilia Fox but they replaced all the lab/sciency/computer stuff with Italian vistas.
