A disconcerting film and not for the weak hearted. Cillian Murphy - brilliant as Steve and also Shy (title of the book by the best selling writer Max Porter, who also wrote the screenplay) was brilliantly portrayed by handsome newcomer. (You can learn about Oxycodone which was originally produced from the opium poppy opiate alkaloid thebaine in 1916 in Germany. Oxycodone was used medically for the first time in Germany in 1917) . Set in the now closed Sunny Hill School for Girls in Bruton, Somerset, England, and beautifully filmed, this is well worth the 93 minutes of viewing but be warned about some of the highly disturbing scenes. Themes of #mental illness and #suicide abound.
