As a longtime fan of both golf and Owen Wilson, I was genuinely excited about "Stick" - a comedy set in the world of professional golf. Not since "Happy Gilmore" (30 yrs ago) "Stick" is a fresh concept - one we rarely see explored, and certainly not with Wilson's signature charm. But despite the promising premise, the show falls flat where it matters most: laughs. It's surprisingly unfunny, and the writing lacks the cleverness and wit you'd normally expect from a project led by someone as reliably entertaining as Wilson. The episodes lack depth and the writing is as lame as a mulligan joke at a funeral. Golf deserves better!
