A supermarket might seem an unlikely place to make a sitcom, but this show is really amazing and has the most important element in any comedy, and that is memorable characters. I started to watch this as Schitt's Creek was beginning to pall, with the two grown up children becoming increasingly (and irritatingly) like each other and turning the show into a boring trope. It is amazing how the writers have spotted the potential in a shop that stocks virtually everything, but the characters have such warmth and chemistry that even the unlikely episodes seem quite fresh and funny. They work together so well as an ensemble that it would be difficult to pick out anyone who is a real standout. Wonderful escapist entertainment, perfect for lockdown!
