Two episodes into The Lowdown and I'm hooked. As a huge Ethan Hawke fan (Boyhood, Training Day-all-time favorites), this feels like his wheelhouse: gritty crime noir with PTA-level atmosphere and razor-sharp dark humor. The writing is tight, the tone stylish, and Hawke delivers exactly what I came for. Honestly, thank God Disney brought Kimmel back-Hulu was on the chopping block for me. With The Lowdown and late-night back in the mix, I'm fully back on board. If you're into Hawke's best work, modern noir, or off-kilter humor, this show is a must-watch.
