So the premise is interesting. Being on the run and chased is interesting. Bad ass moments to get out of fixes is interesting. The characters introduced to chase the family are all super interesting. However, the show suffers from some pacing problems. You can only string along the audience so much... but so many times, the show's reason d'etre has just been brushed off with an "I'll tell you later." Not only that, but the chase is slow. The family doesn't haul ass when they're supposed to, the kids keep putting themselves in exposed danger despite having just come out of one (as if they've learned nothing), there's intense music put to minutes of nothing but walking, and so on. The other annoying thing is the family members' increasing distrust of each other, as if they were easily influenced characters from a teen series. One thing can evaporate years of trust... I find that a little hard to believe at times. Still, this is based on a popular book so I'm hopeful things tie up, as often happens in book writing. Let's see.
