Having no knowledge of what this series was about and didn't have expectations, Tuca & Bertie is quite a fun and energetic show. Being compared to Bojack Horseman but seemingly being different, this show works for several reasons. The comedy does stretch to adult type but doesn't feel overly forced. There are cursing but it isn't too excessive. It has a quirky type feel with its colors and overall tone but the characters of both Tuca and Bertie make the series go. The different type of birds (along with other species of animals) are nice to look at and creative. It is a shame Netflix cancelled season 2 due to poor ratings but thankfully it seemed to be picked up by another network.
