Under Fire (2025) is an action thriller movie directed by Steven C. Miller that I have been waiting for and it was pretty good. Positives for Under Fire (2025): While this movie doesn't do anything unique or special, I like the plot of having these two undercover agents infiltrating this Mexican cartel and having to team up after finding out about one another. I really like the two leads here played by Dylan Sprouse and Mason Gooding as the undercover agents even if they're not the most compelling characters I've seen in a movie, but I don't really care because I like them as actors. You get some solid action sequences with a lot of gunfire and slow-motion. The dialogue and banter is really fun and ridiculous, but it fits the nature of this movie. There are moments that are so stupid with the things that happen, but they are so good if you turn your brain off. And finally, the movie is short and it gets to the point very quickly without wasting any time. Negatives for Under Fire (2025): The movie is very basic with the plot and it feels like we're going through the motions of the story. There is a spot during a shootout where Dylan Sprouse and Mason Gooding are doing nothing and the only reason why they're in this spot is because the person shooting them is being a huge dick about it. And finally, I wasn't a fan with how the movie ended because it felt so underwhelming and anticlimactic to the story and for the fates of Dylan Sprouse and Mason Gooding. Overall, Under Fire (2025) is not particularly a good movie at all, but it is still a lot of fun to watch if you turn your brain off and that is the best way to approach this movie if you want to have some fun.
