When one of your writers has one of your main characters walk in to her opening scene with another main character and say "you look iconic" maybe it's time to not greenlight that show because it doesn't bode well for what's coming. The idea of presenting the generationally wealthy as idiots is a terribly tired trope. There may in fact be Idiotic Housewives of Wherever. But on the whole the generationally rich have at least sent their children to receive high quality educations specifically so that they don't talk like they just scratched their way out of the Influencers trailer park and take all their tips from reality television. Do not construe this to mean I think the rich are better. There any number of ways in which I don't believe that. But for a show to write them as being moronically superficial and unaware of their surroundings is just lazy thinking and writing. I stuck with this show because I wanted to like the premise but right up until the end the writing stopped me from buying it. It was impossible to suspend reality past the dialogue and poor character sketching (please note I use sketching as opposed to painting I could've said scribbling). Spend your time elsewhere unless you are imprisoned on a desert island and this is absolutely all there is to watch to keep your mind off your hunger and thirst.
