It is a decent movie and definitely watchable but way too overhyped as if it's some literary art piece. The gist of the movie is a bunch of kids go missing and it follows the same couple of days over multiple perspectives. Some perspectives especially the earlier ones leave much to be desired. Also due to its nature some scenes are often repeated to no greater effect. I watched this in IMAX and there were a few audible groans during these scenes. The ending is also WAY too cookie-cutter. Without spoiling anything nothing unexpected or thought worthy happens at the end. What I wanted was the movie to delve more into the occult and how 'that person' came to be and what they hoped to achieve. We should've gotten a perspective from that person where they just wreak havoc or have some backstory (missed opportunity). Alas, it was one of the better movies I've seen in a while.
