The nostalgia hit hard, but it was more than just a trip down memory lane. The writing and character development in these initial episodes were on point, adding layers to the already rich world of the X-Men. It felt like catching up with old friends who had grown and evolved. What impressed me the most was how "X-Men '97" managed to capture the same feels of the original show while also elevating the storyline in just two episodes. As someone who watched the original series as a kid, I was beyond amazed to see how it was modernized while still paying respect to the og source material. This show has reignited my love for these mutants and their struggles, and I have no doubt that it will continue to deliver the action, drama, and heart that fans have come to expect from the X-Men universe.
