I'm glad I came across this series. There are so many stories that can be told other than the same plot and storylines that are told over and over again on network tv and in movies. This series takes a colorful journey into the past to retrace the steps of a young girl. During this journey, there are gripping tragedies that go beyond the imagination and keep the pace of personal story of an immigrant led family. Secrets, confusion and broken storylines often blur realities for some people with similar life experiences and again kudos to the author's perspective and producers for bringing this story to light. Con: although the cinematography is as beautiful as the story the screens are often not well lit and hard to see details even with my HD TV playing in vivid picture.
