I usually wait until a show is done to review but I have run out of fingers and toes counting the dialog, narrative and musical cliches upon which Daisy and the Six is entirely built. The songs - including the opening credits song, which is clearly meant to signify one of the band's 'big hits' - are cobbled together from lines of 70's hits with lackluster, sappy tunes. The dialog, particularly that of the first 20 minutes, is so hackneyed, it's cringeworthy. The direction, most frequently the scene framing, are sometimes such overused tropes, it's laughable. Five stars because the performers clearly do everything in their power to elevate their characters and the storytelling beyond a cliched Lifetime story.
