Seems like all the shows are trying to be inclusive to the point that they don't tend to be realistic. I can get past the women beating men, they have been showing this in movies for years to a point. But Shaolin priest warriors are always male. The Shaolin allow women to study at their temples but women aren't allowed to be warriors. So if they wanted to show change that's one thing but to change the past to meet a narrative is just bad form. One woman studying in secret(as in Mulan) would be one thing but to just invent an entire monastery for women is over the top.
