I went into this with zero expectations, after getting dragged by a few friends who wanted to see it. I never read any of Colleen Hoover's books, and have only seen It Ends With Us, and I preferred this movie to that one. I thought the lead actress did a good job carrying the emotional weight of the film. Yes, it's cheesy and predictable, but it knows what its audience wants, and it delivers exactly what it promises (and I just realized that sentence could describe an order from Dominos Pizza, but I digress). This isn't some groundbreaking movie, but it does have some genuinely moving moments that I really wasn't expecting. Loved some of the supporting characters too, with a special shoutout to Monika Myers, whose character is especially endearing, and I also thought the young actress who played Diem was adorable.
