What a great new cop drama from GEM. Allegiance is well acted, well filmed, fast paced, and tackles real issues in realistic ways. It is so refreshing to see a cop drama explore issues of race, gender, discrimination, and privilege without either over-simplifying or getting all preachy. The character in allegiance are well developed, relatable and well acted. The lead is likeable but imperfect and the conflicts are nuanced and not contrived. The cast has depth with each character getting enough development to make you want to know more, see more. I live in Surrey and this show hits the right tone. Natural beauty. Struggling neighborhoods. Diversity. We'll done GEM. Keep this one going.
