The book is my favorite of all time, and this movie is top 15 for me after my first watch. I cried, I laughed and I smiled. Ryan Gosling and our new friend were perfect. The visuals were astoundingly good (no surprise though, Greg Frasier), the score was beautiful, and the sets were amazing. You can tell this was a passion project for many. There were certain things about the book that I wish were still in the movie, like more in depth science, but I understood why they had to leave them out or quickly address it. Overall I was very satisfied with how they went about the adaptation.
