It's not a perfect film, and the plot can feel a bit disorganized at times. Still, for a low budget John Wick/Taken style revenge movie with an insanely powerful former special operative mother on a mission, it's fairly entertaining. Milla Jovovich delivers a strong performance in the lead role, convincingly balancing a mother's love with the grit and determination of someone willing to do whatever it takes to get her daughter back. The action scenes don't really break new ground, but they're still fun and move at a decent pace. As for the ending, I wasn't initially entirely satisfied with it, though after some contemplation I've come to appreciate that it attempted a somewhat unique approach compared to most films in this genre. Critics on Rotten Tomatoes currently have the film sitting at 19%. Having seen plenty of genuinely awful movies over the years, I don't think this one belongs anywhere near that level. While the movie has its flaws, it's far more watchable than that score would suggest. Overall, while the film isn't perfect, it's a reasonably entertaining action thriller that's better than its critical reputation suggests.
