The Drama 2026 1080p WEB-DL DDP5.1 x264
The Drama is very comfortable being an uncomfortable viewing experience. It starts off in a cute and cosy fashion before revealing a dark secret that definitely gets a reaction and unlocks an equally dark sense of humour in everything afterwards. It's hard to watch this seemingly idyllic wedding falling apart but at the same time it's impossible to look away and the film generally is a great exploration of how messy people can be because of how hard it is to understand who a person really is. Robert Pattinson and Zendaya are amazing together thanks to their natural chemistry and the uncomfortableness that gradually builds between them is just as strong. It's especially hard to look away when watching Robert Pattinson's character really fall apart by continuing to make bad decisions which only make things worse as he truly unravels after hearing the big reveal wisely kept out of the trailers. There's also a couple of strong turns from Alana Haim and Mamoudou Athie. Writer & director Kristoffer Borgli always has a firm grasp on the film's tone and delivers a black comedy that's designed to spark many conversations about the morally murky nature of its most shocking reveals as well as how the characters react to it. The deliberately abrupt and effectively nonlinear editing by Kristoffer Borgli and Joshua Raymond Lee brings you up to speed on how this sweet relationship came to be really quickly and enhances the comedy with its sharp timing.
