It cannot be overstated how infuriating it is that all the surgeons, especially the attendings, have no speciality of focus whatsoever and can effortlessly perform any kind of surgery however they please. And there seems to be no separate departments governing them in that hospital, everybody just seems to be free styling . They all just fall under a general umbrella. I mean how can a surgeon have the ability to perform: OB GYN, cardio-thoracic, neuro, oncology, general, plastic, ortho, pediatric, trauma, neonatal, urology, etc. Any doctor can take whatever case strolls in with no consult from or referal to a specialist Please how does that make any sense.
